Poor Catie Mae

This last week Mike and I started to notice a bump forming under Catie's eye. When it first started, I thought maybe she was just bitten by a bug or something and it was just swollen from that, but when it didn't go away, and got bigger and much harder, I got worried. I also noticed she had a bright red rash on part of her body too.

I took Catie to the Vet Friday morning and come to find out the bump on Catie's face is from an abscessed tooth that has become infected. The Vet scared the ba-jee-bers out of me and said that if we don't pull it, it could kill Catie. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?

Catie Mae has been my "baby girl" for 10 years now! There's NO WAY she's gonna leave me now. NO WAY! I started to tear up at the vet's office when they said that.

The bacteria from the tooth was already in her blood stream, and if they didn't pull her tooth, it could get into her heart and kill her. The bacteria had already spread to her bladder giving her a bladder infection. And it's also the reason why she had a bright red rash.

So Monday we are taking her to the Vet to get two of her teeth pulled and the rest of her teeth cleaned. She'll have to eat soft foods for a week while she adjusts to not having the two biggest teeth in her mouth.

Here are a few pictures of our poor little Catie Mae. The first one, you can kinda see the bump on the right side of her face. (Of course Catie wouldn't let me take a picture of that side of her face!) And the second picture, you can see in her eyes that she doesn't feel good. :-(

Puppy Play Time In The Snow

Can ya tell Riley was having fun playing in the snow?

I thought this was a funny picture of Catie with her tongue out!

This picture says it all between Catie and Riley. "Come get me - I double dog dare ya!"

Riley was so excited to come out and play with Mike. He's SUPER PUPPY here jumping for his Kitty. (Kitty is Riley's version of a doggy security blanket...)

Riley was anxious for Mike to throw Kitty...

...and Riley got Kitty! I love how you can tell he's running in this picture.

Man's Best Friend - without question!

We want to play too!

After work today, Mike started sanding down the garage and painting it. I was out "helping" him for a little bit. Catie and Riley wanted to come out and help too, but it was just too messy for them. So to make them happy (and so they would stop barking) we put up the dog gate so they could at least look out into the garage while we were painting.

They looked so cute - I had to take a picture of them.

T.G.I.F.

I can't remember the last time that I was so excited for a Friday! Work has been busy (that's the understatement of the year...) the last few weeks, and I just need this weekend to relax.

After work, Mike and I took Riley and Catie on a walk around the neighborhood.

Then, Sarah, Phoebe and I went on another walk. It was so gorgeous out. I wanted to be outside as much as I could!

After I got back from the last walk, Catie and Frankie were so cute looking out the back door at Riley - I had to capture it!

More Photos

Here is my one and only Frankie Bob! (Or as Naomi called him last night, just Bob.) With the windows open today, Frankie spent most of his day either laying on the window or laying in front of the screen door. Last night, when Mike got home from watching Brian's brother's band play at Pin-Heads, I woke up to Mike laughing. I opened my eyes to Frankie asleep on my face!

My two puppies! Well, "McFatty" (a.k.a. Catie Mae) isn't so much a puppy anymore, but she still thinks she is! Now that Riley is around to keep her active, we're hoping we can rid her of her newest nickname.

Catie Mae

I love this photo of Catie! Usually when I try to take her photo, she rolls over and just shows me her belly. I guess she enjoyed laying on the bed this time!
