December 17 - a n important day for many reasons

Today is December 17. For many of you, just any other day. For Mike and I, a big day. Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary.

As I sit on my couch and write this, I see Mike & Mike on the TV (normally we're listening to them in the car on the way to work since Mike and I carpool), my Mike (hehe) sitting in his chair with his State sweatshirt on, my dogs playing, and my fat cat attacking an ornament on the Christmas tree.

3 years ago if any of you would have asked where I saw myself in 3 years, I would have said I had no idea. Life has been interesting (um, very interesting) the last three years, but I would never trade them in for anything. God has blessed me with an amazing loving husband, a great job, a home, 3 furbabies (sorry Mike, I know you don't like it when I call them that, but for this post, they are my babies - just furry ones!) family, a great church, and wonderful friends.

I love you Mike, and thank you for the last 3 years. I can't wait for the next set of 3 years!

Besides today being our anniversary, it's also "Happy Birthday" day for 2 special little people in our lives. Today is Phoebe's 1st birthday and Josh's 5th birthday. Tonight is Phoebe's party, and Mike and I can't wait! We're going to make gingerbread houses, so be sure to look back here in the next few days. My camera (along with Uncle Nicks I'm quite sure) will be flashing like crazy! I'm also quite sure Josh is having the best birthday yet while at Disney World right now with his family.

I also should mention that today is ALSO my Riley's 1st birthday! My puppy is no longer a puppy, but instead an 80lb dog!

6 years ago, December 17 would have just been any other day. But today, it's a very important day for many reasons.

To Mike - I love you with all of my heart. You're my best friend and my husband. Thank you for the last 3 years, and I can't wait for many more to come.

To Phoebe - Happy 1st Birthday sweetheart! Uncle Mike & I can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you. You're such a doll and sweetheart and we love you bunches!

To Joshy - little man, you're the best! I'm so glad you get to spend your birthday with Mickey & Minnie and all of the Disney crew. Thank you for your hugs whenver we see you. Love ya buddy!
