"You are my sunshine..."

This weekend, Mike and I were able to spend some time with Isabella while her Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. What a weekend we had - and one we will remember for awhile!!!

Saturday we went to ChaCha's company picnic and Isabella got her face painted. She specifically asked Laurie to paint a "rainbow butterfly" on her face. She didn't want an ordinary butterly, but a rainbow butterfly. And let me tell ya, that's what she got!!

All of the little kids got prizes at the picnic, and Isbella's prize was a set of paints.

On our way home from the picnic, we stopped to get her some pictures to paint and a toothbrush (because she had been "cleaning" the stuffed animal with hers.) She picked out a Care Bears tooth brush that played "You are my sunshine." The entire way home from Target, Mike and I were serenaded by Isabella singing "You are my sunshine" and it was the sweetest sound ever!!

After painting, we went outside to play. As Mike, Isabella, and I were walking towards the playground in our neighborhood, we saw other kids playing so Mike told Isabella that we would wait until the other kids were gone. So, in a complete serious voice, she said, "OK. I'll just sit here on the sidewalk and wait."

At the playground, she and Mike had sooo much fun (and I had soo much fun taking pictures!) It's quite obvious by the pictures that "Uncle Mike" is quite smitten by Isabella. To hear her calling "Uncle Mike Uncle Mike" all weekend just put the biggest smile on my face and in my heart!

We had fun taking her to church with us today, and then spending the afternoon with Isabella, Jen, and Mark. Isabella - you are our sunshine! We love you guys!
