A Coincidence? Maybe.

I know this is only a coincidence, but it's so much of that, it's worth noting in my mind.

Two of my favorite authors and preachers, Matthew Barnett and Mark Batterson, have said something in the last week, and now I can't stop thinking about it.

On Monday, Mark Batterson posted this: "Sometimes you have to be willing to GIVE SOMETHING UP so that God can GIVE IT BACK. Put your Isaac on the altar."

Then, last night (Wednesday) Matthew Barnett posted this: "There are times we have to leave something behind to find the cause we were born to embrace."

After seeing/hearing/reading things like that, do you ever find yourself asking "Is this really a coincidence or is God trying to tell me something?"

This has happened to me 3x in the past week...

God has been reminding me that when Jesus died, His righteousness was applied to our lives. No matter our behavior or circumstances, God loves us the same. Often times I find myself focusing on the good or bad things I did that week & think God will base his "love level" on that. Praise God that His love is everlasting and unconditional. In light of this love, it causes me to love Him that much more.
