We have a Mighty, Awesome God

Praise God!!!

Here is the latest update from Aidan's Mom, Michele about the results of Aidan's scan yesterday to see if his tumor has shrunk in size from his first two chemo treatments.

"Aidan's test results are good. The tumor is indeed shrinking, the spots are lighter in his bones and it is not spreading. The prayers, the medicine, and his amazing attitude are working. The tumor is 10% smaller in "length" which equates to about 25% less in mass. This is the news we prayed for - the news we needed on so many levels. We needed hope and we got it. We needed to believe that our prayers and your prayers were heard and we got that too. We needed to believe that those horrible, terrible, beautiful, necessary medicines were working and we got that as well. I prayed all day today. For each test we would lay him on his beautiful prayer shawl (delivered by Bethany and made by Center United Methodist) and I would hit my knees and pray. I kept praying for Aidan and for our family. I also kept praying for each of you that prays for us. I kept asking God to hear your prayers so that you could see and feel the results of your efforts and have your faith renewed or further affirmed. I found myself begging God to hear all of your prayers and asking "How will they feel? What will all the people who are praying for Aidan, organizing prayer groups, having their dog walks turn into prayer walks, knitting prayer shawls and lighting candles think and believe if their prayers are not heard?"

I will go to sleep positive that prayer works and as a result I will pray even harder. Maybe you will too. Maybe you will pray harder for Aidan and for other's in your life who are in need. I believe that God will be pleased."
