I've found myself thinking about New York City a lot lately and how I can NOT wait to go back again. For a few months, I was dropping some not-so-suttle hints to Mike about where I wanted to go for vacation this year. EVERY movie I rented was set in New York City. (There's some pretty hoaky movies that are set in NYC incase you're wondering.)
Well, I have an amazing husband. There's been no 100% guarantees, but I can tell that he's at least considering taking a trip to New York City this fall. With Mike's job, since he's been there for 5 years now, we have the opportunity to "rent" over a weekend one of his company's condos in Midtown Manhattan. HELLO! And for CHEAP! (Lesser expensive than a scummy hotel!)
The last three trips I took to NYC were all for work when I was still at ChaCha. While I was able on the first trip last April to get some of the typical NYC shots in, I didn't get a lot (Just Times Square and some of Central Park.) I want to go back with Mike, not be rushed trying to get from one conference to another, and really enjoy our time together and taking pictures.
Here are some of my favorite photos I took on my previous trips to NYC.
This first photo was taken from the Time & Life Building (across from Radio City Music Hall) when I was in NYC last June. I like it because you can see all of the activity taking place on the street.
This photo needs no introduction: Grand Central Station.
This fine fella was at the bakery my friends took me to on my first night in NYC last April. Mark my words, I will take Mike back to this place. It was AMAZING!
And this last photo is my absolute favorite. Yeah, I know, it's just some random guy playing a violin in the subway tunnels, but don't you just look at this picture and think to yourself, "I want to know his story..." Yeah - me too!
I'm in a New York state of mind...
